Welcome to Altered Cloth, a blog dedicated to do-it-yourself sewing projects. Altered Cloth features patterns and how-to instructions for creating clothing and accessories, with a focus on current styles and trends.

I do my best to make sure that all instructions are accurate, but mistakes can still occur. Therefore, if you make a project on this site, keep in mind that you are essentially a test sewer (especially if the project has recently been posted). I encourage and appreciate feedback from readers so that I can fix errors and make improvements to the patterns and project instructions.
